Significance of Bhaiya Dooj

According to our ancient stories on this day Lord Yamraj who is also known as God of death visited to her sister’s place. And his sister Goddess Yami (also known as the Yamuna) welcomed his brother with tilak over the forehead and offered him sweets and other food. It is said that on this day Yami prayed to god for well being of his brother. And in return Lord Yamraj gave his blessing and gifts to his sister Yami
